Mehndi'in

I'm so in love with my Mehndi Medallions from PTI!! You can do so much with them and they really make such a lovely pattern.  I used the rock and roll technique with the stamps.  Enjoy!

JUG'in' #89

I just love the Just Us Girls Challenges!  It such a fun, positive blog and I love how the challenges change from week to week - I've done the layout and the technique challenges so far. This week's challenge is Color.  I had to use 4 colors selected by the DT to create my card.  The colors were Red, Kiwi, Aqua & Saffron.  I think you can tell that I love my Garden Variety Stamp Set from PTI, I can't stop using it! Hope you like!

Twistin' #63

Here is my take on last week's Twisted Sketch that Jess's design team worked on.  I love having my friends on design teams, it really pushes me to try their weekly sketches.  Happy Father's Day everyone!

Stampin' in Ohio!

I'm soooo excited to announce that Kendra and I will be traveling to Ohio at the end of July to attend the Papertrey Ink Stamp-A-Faire!!!  It's an all day event with make and takes from some of our crafting idols (Dawn McVey, Michelle Wooderson, Nichole Heady, Betsy Veldman)!  I can't wait to learn new things and be inspired by these really talented designers!  The really cool thing is that there were only 200 tickets available for this event and Kendra scored them for us as soon as they went on sale.  The rumor online is that they sold out in 2 minutes!! I feel so lucky to be able to go and it's also a great excuse for a weekend girl's trip!!

JUG'in (Techniqin')

Soo excited for this week's Just Us Girls Technique challenge!  I love when challenges teach me something totally new!  The technique was to make a woodgrain pattern.  The background paper was actually a mustard yellow sheet of cardstock when I started and then I scored it with my scoring board and rubbed white & brown ink over the top of it - so cool!  I plan to use this for most any masculine card I have to make in the future!  I checked the JUG's blog tonight while eating dinner and enjoying an episode of 'Mob Wives' and realized it was due tonight by 9pm.  I put it on pause and rushed to my craft room to get started!  I'm really excited to give this card to my father-in-law this weekend, I'll probably make another one and change it up a bit for my own dad!!  Happy Father's Day to all the Dad's out there!

Seedin'

I have been dying to use my garden variety stamps & dies and finally got a chance to put a seed packet together.  I did find this cute layout from the Papertrey Idea Gallery, I altered it slightly and think it is just adorable. After I made the seed packet I decided to make it into a small sweet card.  This also fits into this week's CAS-ual Friday challenge.  The challenge this week was to make a card using 3 items from their tic-tac-toe board, I chose buttons, flowers & twine.

LIM'in

Here is my take on this week's Less Is More (LIM) challenge.  The challenge was to make a one layer card, which is completely foreign to me!  I was excited to use my Garden Variety stamp set from PTI since I haven't been able to use it yet.  I Copic colored a few of the details on the frame and layered a few of the stamps for the center of the frame.

Clean & Simple Stampin' (#143)

Here's another card for the Clean & Simple Challenge #143, it's a birthday card for my momma!  I got to use my PTI Year of Flowers stamp set and I colored it with Copics.  I'm totally obsessed with the font of the sentiment, it's my ab fave! Sorry for the bad photo!

Twistin'

So this is an extra special challenge for me because my friends Jess & Kendra are both on design teams for the Twisted Sketches website.  This is the first challenge that Kendra has designed a card for, so I just HAD to enter the challenge!  Enjoy!

Whalin'

Here is a cute, quick card I made for a baby shower.  I used my new whale set from PTI, it's so darn cute I can't wait to use it a million more times!

JUG'in

So my friend Kendra introduced me to another challenge site called Just Us Girls (a.k.a JUGs).  I figured I would give this week's challenge a try.  I had a birthday card to make for a co-worker and it also fits into this week's Less is More challenge of making a simple, clean card using monochromatic colors.  This was a fun card to make, hope you enjoy!
