Weddin'

I made this card for my friends Susie & Paul for their wedding!  I have to admit I don't love how this came out, but it'll have to do as the wedding is in 2 days! I dyed the ribbon with some Glimmer Mist but it's not quite the right yellow and that is what is bugging me.  I also stamped the journal tag with the date of their wedding.  We almost share an anniversary - Mark and I were married last year on 5/29 - I can't believe it's been a year already.  So the reason I used this paper is because the inspiration for her wedding colors was Peacock Feathers so the main theme is royal blue and golden, so obviously when I saw these in the store I HAD to buy them so I could use it on her card.

I am also using this as the Clean & Simple challenge this week.

Practicin'

I made this card so I could practice more of my Copic coloring.  I just love the Pure Innocence stamps, I think they're so cute!  I also used liquid pearls for the first time in the center of each of the flowers, which you can see in pic #2.  I'm taking two more Copic classes this upcoming weekend and am hoping to pick up some more techniques to use in my cards.

Swappin'

I finally finished my craft swap gift for Kendra, this was not an easy task!  I felt a lot of pressure to make it extra special because Kendra is a fellow paper crafter.  In the end, I was happy with the way it came out and hope that Kendra & Erik get to use it a lot!

Mojoin' #190

I was super excited to use one of my new Pure Innocence stamps and to practice my Copics coloring on this card.  I used a lot of new fun techniques I have recently learned on this card.  I used sandpaper on the background paper to reveal the light orange stars and used some Sparkly Fluff on the leaves of the flowers, it's very subtle but I think it brings them to life a little bit!

Showerin'

I know it's been a while since my last post, it's been a busy few weeks!  I did manage to make a card for my dear friend Susie for her bridal shower.  I got these new stamps & dies from PTI and I am totally obsessed with them.  I can't wait to make a million more jar cards!  When I stamped the jar it was totally unintentional that the center of the jar is blank, I was about to re-do it when I decided that I actually really liked it and decided stamping a sentiment in that space would be perfect.  Hope you like!
