In addition to the cards that I am selling at re:Discover, I am also selling bookmarks! Here are a couple photos of one of my bookmarks that is currently in the store. I die-cut 2 different papers from Cosmo Cricket's Odds & Ends line and adhered them together so both sides of the bookmark would be different. I added an October Afternoon rub-on that reads "Here's the Story...". I just thought it was so perfect for a bookmark. After that I added a green silk ribbon and reinforcing to the hole at the top and voila! Any guesses on which book I used?? :)

Organizin'
I took advantage of having the week off by organizing areas of my house that I have been neglecting for a while (basement & craft room). I couldn't wait to purge all of the old and to organize all of my supplies! I went out and bought a label maker, serious business. Here are some pics of my "new" craft supply closet. Next up, closet doors! I'll be spending tomorrow afternoon painting the doors so my hubs can hang them this weekend.

Thinkin' of You
I made this card this morning and tried my hand at using felt for the first time. I'm totally hooked. I love how it adds a different texture to the card. It took a few times to get the vines in the back ground right, they are a bit difficult to get them perfectly straight. I cut them out using the new PTI vine border that I got at Stamp-A-Faire.

Stampin' in Cincinnati!
Kendra and I just got back from Cincinnati, OH where we attended Papertrey Ink's Stamp-A-Faire retreat! It was soooooo much fun and totally amazing to meet all of our favorite designers. We made 2 card make & takes with each designer and had a chance to talk to each of them individually. Here are some photo highlights of the trip!

Picklin'
It really doesn't get much cuter than this. I have had this in my head for months and have been waiting on my garden to produce some delicious cucumbers and finally the day has arrived! I made these quick pickles yesterday and let them soak for 24 hours. I put them in a ball jar, cut a square of gingham fabric and just wrapped it with some hemp cord. I had to use my tiny tags die just so I could make a little 'pickles' tag. This is my first time making my own pickles and they came out pretty well for my first shot. I will tweak my recipe a little more next time. I used fresh garlic, dill and cucumbers all from my own garden and then added some apple cider vinegar, sugar, salt and pickling spices.

Excitin' News!!
I have some super exciting news to share with you guys today! I had a meeting this morning with the owner of a new store that is opening here in Rhode Island on July 29th called re:Discover. I am happy to announce that they are going to be selling my cards, tags & bookmarks in their store! Check out their blog site and like them on Facebook! Their shop is located in a beautiful restored mill building in Harrisville, RI. I got a sneak peak at some of the treasures they have to offer. They have acquired some very talented artists! I can't for the store to open!!

Clean & Simple Stampin' (#148)
I made another girly card for this week's C&S Challenge. I used some paper from pads that I've had and used a flower Sizzix die for the center flower. I'm so in love with these pink buttons, I had to restrain myself from gluing them all over the card.

Flyin' away
This is a fun, pink, girly card which I don't make often enough! The butterfly is made out of wood (I didn't make it, I bought it). I saw my friend Kendra use these on a few cards and just thought they were so adorable! I'm also totally in love with this Sassafras paper, I want to wallpaper my craft room with it! I thought this would make a cute thank you card for a friend.
Sayin' Hi
I'm pretty happy with how this one turned out, I used some new Crate Paper and a fun Hero Arts stamp set to create this vintage-y card. I just love old timey stamps, they make me so happy!

Another B'day
So I know it's been a little while since my last post, but with the hot weather & holiday weekend I took some time to enjoy with family & friends. My sister, Alicia, turned 25 on Sunday and I made her this card with some of my 5 & Dime supplies. I've been holding out on using them and figured this was the perfect occasion. Alicia recently bought a bike and she rides it to her local library a lot so I thought this bicycle sticker was perfect for her - it actually resembles her bike a lot!
